Programs for Under 5's

Mordialloc Community Centre is a home away from home to our local families and their young children. Many of our parents are second generation, having been involved at the Centre during their own childhoods.

Our popular programs for under 5's explore a range of developmental and social needs important to this age group. (Plus give you some time out or time to chat with other mums!)

Playgroup for your family

Playgroup is held at MCC four times a week and managed by an independent committee of parents. We are 5 star accredited with Playgroup Victoria.

Playgroup is run every Friday from 9.30am-11.30am.

The Annual Fee of $60 includes all materials and equipment.
A $3.50 charge per session contributes to the use of the Community Centre facilities.

There is a limit of 20 families per session

Net Skills


Learn how to play netball in our Net Skills Classes.

Practice throwing, catching, shooting and running while playing with friends.

Net Skills is suitable for kids aged 5-7 years, and will teach all the basics to prepare children to play ina Pink Panthers Team.

MONDAY4.00pm-5.00pm at Parkdale Secondary College Sports Stadium.

Junior Joeys

Do you have a basketball superstar in the making? Do they need to learn the basics of basketball, including running, jumping, throwing, catching and shooting?

Junior Joeys is the perfect class for your 5-7 year old, before the play in a Mordy Flyers team.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY - 4.00pm-5.00pm at Parkdale Secondary College Sports Stadium.

Our Karate instructors are qualified and very experienced. They will take the time needed, one on one to improve your skill and give you the opportunity to complete and gain your belts. Males and females of all ages and grades welcome.


Beginner - Wednesday 4.30pm - 5.30pm

Junior - Wednesday 5.30pm - 6.30pm

Advanced (16yrs - Adult) - Wednesday 6.30pm - 8.30pm



  • What style of Karate is it?
    Our qualified instructors are vastly experienced in the Seikukan style of Karate.
  • What is the uniform?
    A white karate uniform is available for purchase from the office. Prices vary depending on size required. We recommend that the child tries a few sessions before ordering a uniform. All uniforms come with a white belt.
  • How do I get a coloured belt?
    Yellow, Green, Red, Brown and Black belts are awarded after annual grading sessions and end of year tournament to assess skill levels. Belts can be ordered from the office.
  • What makes Mordialloc Community Centre Karate stand out from the rest?
    There is a range of karate schools and styles around Mordialloc/Mentone area. Our passion for the discipline and grace of karate has placed us at the heart of the community for over 20 years. We take the time to develop skills in our students, in a relaxed and very friendly environment. Parents are welcome to watch and be involved in the club.
